You are here: TETworks > TETware > SupportTETware is the supported version of the Test Environment Toolkit (TET). It is a superset of TET. Customers with a Support and Maintenance Agreement receive: These are all described here. Support ServicesThe Open Group provides email support via a dedicated alias that is monitored by a team of developers experienced in the use and application of TETware. Access to the support portal is restricted to up to two nominated contacts per customer. InformationThese contacts also have access to a private area on the TETworks site, accessed via the Support Log-in link at the top of the left hand column, that provides access to the TETware source code and to additional information sources that are not included in the public area. Bug ReportingThe support services channel also provides a facility for bug reporting. The support team may provide avoidance procedures, maintenance releases or documentation corrections to resolve bugs which are treated as a matter of priority. On Site SupportWith the prior agreement of the customer, The Open Group will provide on-site support services, for which we reserve the right to charge on a time and materials basis. Maintenance ReleasesThe Open Group aims to distribute maintenance releases to TETware code, with updated documentation, once in every year. Access to maintenance releases will be provided to TETware Support and Maintenance Subscribers at least six months before non-subscribers. EnhancementsTETware is maintained by The Open Group from the Support and Maintenance revenues received. Support and Maintenance customers may vote to decide the priority of extensions. Significant product enhancements to meet individual user requirements may be undertaken on the basis that the requiring user funds the enhancement, which may - at The Open Group's discretion - be included in a future maintenance release. Enhanced ProductTETware Support and Maintenance Customers receive access to an enhanced product which includes: GUIA Java GUI which provides for ease of use and incorporates additional functionality, including database access and scenario file generation. Platform SupportMake files and binaries are provided for a range of UNIX and Linux Operating Systems, but binaries for 32-bit Windows Operating Systems are only provided to TETware Support and Maintenance Subscribers (more . . .). Rather than compile TET for a new platform yourself take advantage of the proven implementations available from The Open Group. Java APIA native Java API was added at TETware release 3.4. This Open Group funded API superceded the JETpack that was available with earlier releases (more . . .). Report WriterTETware includes a Report Writer which will parse an Journal file and generate a report in html or text format. Source code is provided if the user wishes to add other formats. The report writer is fully integrated with the GUI for ease of use. Binary Distribution RightsTETware Support and Maintenance customers may distributed test suites containing TET(ware) code in binary format. TET users may only redistribute TET code, unmodified, and in source code format.
