Refreshing a Scenario File

There may be times when a Scenario file being worked on has been changed, i.e. scenarios added / removed / modified. In that case it may be desirable to refresh the Scenario file (if added to the Test Run). To refresh the Scenario file you must right-click on the Scenario file node and click "Refresh".

There are a number of rules regarding Scenario file refreshing that are followed, please read these carefully:
  • If the Scenario file has not been modified since it was loaded into the Test Run then the "Scenario file has not changed" dialog box will open.
In this case, the Scenario file has not been modified so no action has been taken.
  • If the Scenario file has been modified since it was loaded into the Test Run then the Scenario file is re-parsed and the scenarios added. However if any scenario were selected prior to the re-fresh then they are set to not selected. The reason for this is that the rules needed to implement partially changed scenario files would be too complex and very difficult to explain.
  • If the Scenario file has been removed since it was loaded into the Test Run then the Scenario file node will be removed from the Test Run, all the child scenarios are also be removed. The File does not exist dialog is displayed to inform the User.
