TETware professional 1.3 Release NotesTo view the Release Notes for Version 1.2a click here This release includes a number of user enhancement requests as well as strategic additions to the product. Changes from TETware professional 1.2a to 1.3DatabaseThis release includes the TETware Database Drivers allowing users to write Journal file parameters to any SQL compliant database.TETware Report WriterSupport for the use of URI's in the TETware Report Writer is now included.Scenario File CreationThe ability to create scenarios automatically by choosing the files to be included using a File Parser is now provided.Scenario File EditingThe Scenario File displayed in the Scenario File Text window may now be edited and saved under the same or a different name (Save As).Copy Remote SystemA new Remote System may now be created by copying the configuration from a previously set up Remote System in the same Test Run.WizardsA Test Run Setup (Advanced) Wizard has been added. It can be accessed via the Wizards item in the menu bar. There is no access to this feature from the Toolbar. The Wizards menu now comprises:
In both the Test Run Wizards a Scenario File Selection pane has been added to prompt the user to include a Scenario File. A Run TETware Report Writer wizard has been added to the Toolbar in place of the previous icon which took the user to the Report tab. This also replaces the Generate button on the TETware Report Writer tab, under the Reporting Tree Node. Users can now generate reports, based on the most recent execution of the active Test Run, without having to open the Report Writer tab. ToolbarThe following changes have been made to the toolbar.
Reporting Tree NodeThe Report Tree Node has been renamed the Reporting Tree Node and moved up to be under the Configuration Node. This was thought to be more a more logical location as the report writers, and the database extract tool, must be configured before they can run from the Toolbar. The name of this node has been changed to recognize that the Database and Database Setup tabs have been added to this node.Scenario Tree NodeThis tree node is now always displayed. If no scenario file is selected, the scenario tree node is displayed with the message "No Scenario File Specified".There are three new right-click menu options, these are:
Default SettingsProvide default settings for as many Configuration options as possible, including:
Test Run ExecutionWhen the Execute Test Run button on the toolbar You can monitor the progress of your Test Run by selecting the Execution
Output tree node. Note that while a Test Run is executing the icon
associated with that node changes from Report GenerationLikewise, when a report is generated a black execution window no longer appears. N.B. Reports are now generated by selecting the Help FilesThe TETware Help files, both within the product and on the TETworks website have been updated.Problem ReportsPlease be aware that Problem Reports may no longer be submitted via the Help Menu. This facility was not being used outside of The Open Group and has been withdrawn.Customers should submit problem reports using the dedicated and direct support email address supplied. Evaluators should submit problem reports to tetware_manager@opengroup.org. User GuideThe TETware User Guide is now available.
License ManagementThis release includes the TETware License Management Software.GraphicsThe graphics in the Wizards and Installer have been changed.
