The Help Pages

How to use the Help Pages

The Help Pages are organized in such a way that you are able to access any part of the help pages at any time. The Tree structure employed enables you view at a high level any section of the help pages.

The left hand side of the help is a tree structure which represents the all the pages available in the help. The right hand side of the help is a Java HTML Editor which is used for display of the help pages. At present the HTML Editor only supports HTML3.2.

The icons used in the Help tree are detailed below:

IconDescription
This icon is a folder which will contain a number of pages of help.
This icon is the closed version of the open folder for help pages.
This icon indicates that the folder contains a number of help pages but also has a page of help associated with the folder itself. Clicking on the folder will display the associated page.
This icon is the closed version of the open folder indicated above.
This icon indicates that there is a page of help associated with this tree node. Clicking on the tree node will display that page of help.

Using the Tree

Any node in the Help tree that has a page of help associated with it will have a icon overlaid on it's folder icon or it's icon will be a , to access that page of information just click on the node. The help page will then be displayed in the right hand side of the help window.

To expand any folder in the tree just double click on the folder icon, it's contents (if any) will then be displayed.

Closing the Help window

If you close the Help window then it will disappear, if you then choose to browse the Web pages again via the "Help" menu in TETware then the Help window will be displayed again, but in the same state as when it was closed.
