Stopping a Test Run

Please note: Stopping a Test Run whilst it is executing is NOT recommended and should be avoided where possible due to the potentially undesirable effects it can have on the system.

To stop a currently executing Test Run the User can:

  • Use the "Stop Test Run" menu item in the "Run" menu.
  • Right-click the "Execution Output" tree node and click the "Stop Test Run" menu item.

Note: these menu items will be only be available if the Test Run is currently executing.

Whichever method is chosen the "Confirm halt of execution" dialog box will be displayed and the user will be asked to confirm that they wish to halt the execution of the Test Run.

If the User chooses "Yes" then the Test Run will be stopped and the "Execution Output" tree node icon changed to .

Please note: it may take some time for the process to stop executing, this is due to TETware trying to perform some clean up before executing. Please be patient when stopping Test Runs.
