The Database set-up can be varied each time a test run is configured. However once a Test Run has been configured it may be run many times.

Since this is carried out within the TETware program. It is a User function, rather than an Admin function, and is common for all platforms.

(For details of the Database Admin Setup please click here)

Database Setup Tab

To setup the database connection the user must be have the TETware GUI open and an active Test Run. Open that Test Run by double clicking on it, and then click on the Reporting icon. Select the Database Setup tab.

For details of the Database tab please click here.

This field refers to the database links that are to be used.  In this case we have used the Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) and Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) Drivers. sun.jdbc.odbc.jdbcOdbcDriver (see Figure). Others that may be used include:

Database Connection
MySQL org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver
Oracle oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
Informix Informix.api.jdbc.JDBCDriver
