User Defined Variables tab



The User Defined Variables tab allows the User to specify variables that will be used in the Test Run by the Users test code.

Each variable has a name and a value associated with it. Also, optionally, a description of that value can be specified. Each variable is also applicable to one or more Modes of Operation, please click here for more details on the Modes of Operation.


Adding Variables

To add a new variable you need to specify:

Variable NameRequired
Variable ValueRequired
Variable DescriptionOptional
Mode of operation the variable is applicable toRequired

Once you are satisfied with the variable click "ADD" to add it to the list of variables.

Removing Variables

To remove a variable select it from the table and click "REMOVE", the variable will then be removed.

To remove multiple variables you can hold the "Shift" or "Ctrl" key and select rows in the table, if you hold "Shift" then you can select a contiguous list of variables, if you hold "Ctrl" you can choose a dis-contiguous list of variables. To remove the selected Test Cases press "REMOVE".

Removing all the Variables

To remove all the items from the table click "RESET", this will remove all the defined variables from the table.

Editing Variables

To change the details of a Variable select it in the table and click "EDIT". The Variable details will then appear in their relevant fields. Make the required changes, and then press the "Add" button again to add the modified Variables to the list.
